Location: Sheffield, VT
Currently operational in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom atop Granby Mountain and Libby Hill, Sheffield Wind is First Wind’s first project in Vermont. The project has a maximum output of 40MW from 16 wind turbines, and is projected to produce roughly 115,000 megawatt-hours annually for Vermont utility companies. In addition to providing enough clean, safe power for all of the homes in Caledonia Country, Sheffield Wind offers a number of ongoing benefits for local communities.
